Just me and Buddy in Wilmcote

Karen went to meet Jo in Edinburgh on Tuesday as Jo has an interview at Edinburgh University.  We are only moored about two minutes from the sweet little station in Wilmcote so that was rather handy – no idea why the picture came out in black and white though.

By shopping around Karen got a ticket for £25.  It’s amazing the difference in prices: an hour earlier was £185 and an hour later would have been £165.

Buddy and I have a couple of days to mess around on the boat and enjoy the rather fine weather.  Buddy soon got fed up with me pottering around so sunbathed on the bank for a while.

After repairing a couple of punctures on our bikes we went for a ride to Wootton Wawen.  We passed some new born lambs which, fortunately, were the other side of the canal to Buddy.

When we got to Edstone aqueduct Buddy couldn’t resist having a drink.

Only one boat passed us all day but I suspect it will start getting busier now Easter is approaching..
