This box was made by Smith & Hawkes in Birmingham and was known as a Box No. 2. These were one of the earliest boxes, being made in 1859 or 1860. This one still has its letter flap which is quite unusual.
It is box number ME19 6 and can be found on High Street, West Malling, Kent.
It was spotted by Karen on 29 July 2019.
