This box was made by WT Allen of London and is one of the small size versions of the 1881-1901 range of wall boxes which was the last range of wall boxes made in the Victorian era. This particular style of the small size box in the range was made between 1886 and 1901.
This is box number PL15 45 and can be found in a stone wall of a farm at the road junction in the hamlet of Higher Treween near Launceston in Cornwall. It was spotted by Peter Williams on 13 August 2020. It was in quite a sorry state when Peter found it.
