This box was made by WT Allen of London and is one of the small size versions of the 1881-1901 range of wall boxes which was the last range of wall boxes made in the Victorian era. This particular style of the small size box in the range was made between 1886 and 1901.
This is box number PL26 127 and can be found in Rescorla near St Austell, Cornwall. It is situated in the wall of the primitive methodist chapel. Primitive methodism originated in the United States of America.It was spotted by Peter Williams on 15 October 2020.
