This box was made by Smith & Hawkes in Birmingham and is one of the small versions of the 1871-1880 range of wall boxes. This particular style of box was made in 1871 and 1872.
It is box number HR9 627 and can be found outside the Roadmaker Inn in Gorsley near Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshitre.
