This box was made by Smith & Hawkes in Birmingham and this style of box was made from 1861 to 1871.
It is box number HG4 14 and can be found on the wall outside one of the entrances to the Fountains Abbey estate, Ripon, North Yorkshire.
It was spotted by Dave Senneck on 25 November 2025.
