This box was made by WT Allen of London and is one of the medium size versions of the 1881-1901 range of wall boxes which was the last range of wall boxes made in the Victorian era. This particular style of the medium size box in the range was made between 1893 and 1900.
It is box number OX4 112 and can be found on Crescent Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire which is the road where our daughter Lauren lived when she first studied at Oxford Brookes.
It was spotted by Neil on 10 December 2020.
