This box was made by WT Allen of London and is one of the medium size versions of the 1881-1901 range of wall boxes which was the last range of wall boxes made in the Victorian era. This particular style of the medium size box in the range was made between 1893 and 1900.
It is box number OX2 128 and can be found on Banbury Road in Oxford, Oxfordshire.
It was spotted by Karen on 14 October 2024 when she was nine miles into the Oxford half marathon.
