This box was made by Smith & Hawkes in Birmingham and this style of box was made from 1861 to 1871.
It is box number NN6 15 and can be found on the left hand gate post of Winwick Hall. Interestingly, a private WT Allen wall box can be found on the other gate post. Winwick Hall is in the small village of Winwick to the north west of Northampton in Northamptonshire, UK.
