VR Wall Box Lewes: South Street - BN7 462

This box was made by WT Allen of London and is one of the small size versions of the 1881-1901 range of wall boxes which was the last range of wall boxes made in the Victorian era.  This particular style of the small size box in the range was made between 1886 and 1901.

It is box number BN7 462 and can be found on South Street in Lewes, East Sussex.  The building is an old post office.

It was spotted by Steve on 11 November 2018.  The second picture was taken the following year in preparation for bonfire night.
