VR Wall Box Petworth: Graffham Common - GU28 24

This box was made by Smith & Hawkes in Birmingham and was known as the Improved Box No. 2.  These were one of the earliest boxes, being made in 1860 and 1861.   This one still has its letter flap which is quite unusual.

It is box number GU28 24 and can be found outside Wiblings Farm in Graffham Common near Petworth, West Sussex
