This box was made by WT Allen of London and is one of the small size versions of the 1881-1901 range of wall boxes which was the last range of wall boxes made in the Victorian era. This particular style of the small size box in the range was made between 1886 and 1901.
This is one of many UK post boxes found on Malta and Gozo. It was the first Victorian box we found and is box number 504 and can be found in the San Wistin square in the old town of Victoria (aka Rabat), the capital of Gozo.
