It is box number RG20 8 and can be found at the entrance to Easton Lodge in Easton near Newbury. For some reason the collection plate was missing when we found it.

VR Wall Box Newbury: Easton - RG20 8.
This box was made by Smith & Hawkes in Birmingham and was known as a Box No. 2. These were one of the earliest boxes, being made in 1859 or 1860. This one still has its letter flap which is quite unusual.
