VR Wall Box Cheltenham: Winchcombe Station - GL54 Out of use

This box was made by WT Allen of London and is one of the small size versions of the 1881-1901 range of wall boxes which was the last range of wall boxes made in the Victorian era.  This particular style of the small size box in the range was made between 1882 and 1885.

It is no longer in use and is used to collect donations for the North Gloucestershire and Warwickshire heritage steam railway. It can be found on platform two of the restored Winchcombe station in Winchcombe near Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

It was spotted by Sophie's friend Len on 10 January 2026.
