This box was made by WT Allen of London and is one of the medium size versions of the 1881-1901 range of wall boxes which was the last range of wall boxes made in the Victorian era. This particular style of the medium size box in the range was made between 1893 and 1900.
The box was BS8 1027 but is out of use and can be found outside number 39 Hotwell Road, overlooking the river Avon in Bristol.
It was spotted by Neil's sister Judith on 26 October 2022.
