This box was made by Andrew Handyside of Derby and London and this style of box was made from 1879 to 1883. As the box doesn't have a cipher it is known as an Anonymous box. Furthermore it has a high aperture so is in the category called High Anonymous boxes.
It is box number TN37 9 and can be found on Springfield Road in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. It has the remains of a Post Office direction sign on the cap.
