This box was made by Andrew Handyside of Derby and London and this style of box was made in 1892 and 1893.
It is box number HR9 498 and can be found on Gloucester Street in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
It was spotted by Karen on 7 December 2019. Note how much the pavement has been built up around the base.
