VR Pillar Box London: Royal Mail Museum (London ornate) - Out of use

This is one of five of the original 'London Ornate' boxes made from 1857 to 1859. They were only ever installed in London, hence the name. The museum has two more in storage and the other two are also in museums at Ironbridge and Salford.
