This box was made by Andrew Handyside of Derby and London and this style of box was made from 1883 to 1887. As the box doesn't have a cipher it is known as an Anonymous box. The aperture is between the two rings so is in the category called Low Anonymous boxes, as opposed to High Anonymous boxes where the aperture is on the higher ring.
It is box number HD8 223 and can be found in Shepley, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. This box has a pouch box attached. This is used for additional pouches of mail to be dropped off by the sorting office for the postman to pick up and deliver.
It was spotted by Karen on 8 February 2019.
