This box has a plaque on it to commemorate the two hundredth birthday of Anthony Trollope who was born in 1815 and introduced pillar boxes to great Britain in 1852.

About Us

Between us we have nine wonderful children and a dog called Buddy and often hired narrowboats for family holidays. We bought our first narrowboat in 2010 and had the current one built in 2016.

In November 2014 we started living permanently on the boat so we could cruise wherever the fancy took us.

We had our boat shipped over to France in March 2019 and are now enjoying a new way of life living on the French waterways.

In the nine years since living aboard we have travelled 6,372 miles through 4,374 locks, including 3,435 miles through 1,855 locks in France, 69 miles through 10 locks in Germany and 23 miles through two locks in Luxembourg.
