VR Pillar Box Brighton: Montpelier Road - BN1 3
This box was made by Cochrane & Co of Dudley and this style was made from 1859-1866. It was one of the forerunners of the first standardised national pillar box that was introduced in 1866. The style is now known as the First National Standard and this is an example of the large version.
It is box number BN1 3 and can be found on Montpelier Road in Brighton, East Sussex.
