This box was made by Andrew Handyside of Derby and London and this style of box was made from 1887 - 1892.
Its cypher is nicely picked out in black and it has a black cap. It can be found outside the Angry Friar on Convent Place in an area of Gibraltar called Convent Garden.
There is only one other Victorian box known on the island and that is a wall box.
It was spotted by Mike Fielding on 2 April 2022.
